Members of the PAC reviewed and discussed the Auditor General’s report during the Committee’s regular administrative meeting on 30th May, and agreed to hold a public hearing to further investigate the report. Additional witnesses include Mr. Jeremy Scott, Director of Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman (WORC), and Ms. Lyneth Monteith, Acting Chief Officer for the Ministry of Education.
In this latest performance report, which is available on the website of the Office of the Auditor General (OAG), the Auditor General makes 10 recommendations, primarily to WORC and the Ministry of Education, with several also to the Government. In its upcoming hearing, the Members of the PAC will question the three witnesses on the contents of the Auditor General’s report in accordance with Parliament Standing Order 77(4) and Section 87(1) of the Cayman Islands Constitution Order 2009, legislation that empowers the PAC with the responsibility to examine all authorities and Government-owned companies.
