Visit Parliament

Visit the Parliament of the Cayman Islands

Located on Fort Street in the centre of George Town, the Parliament building is an iconic landmark that visitors and residents alike are welcome to visit. A lesson in civics will remain incomplete without a visit to the Parliament to get a first-hand look at the place where the people of Cayman exercise their powers through their elected representatives.

Take a 360 Virtual Tour:
Visit the Cayman Islands Parliament building from the comfort of your own home by accessing our 360 virtual tour:

Arrange A Guided Tour:
Learn about the history of the legislature and its Members through a personal guided tour of the building and its Chamber, led by our courteous and knowledgeable Serjeant-at-Arms and Parliamentary Page. Please email Mr. Christopher Clarke, Parliamentary Page, at [email protected] or call us at +1-345-949-4236.

Arranging a School Visit:
Your school teacher should liaise with the Serjeant-at-Arms and Parliamentary Page and provide details of the proposed visit (the date, age of students, and class size), by email Mr. Christopher Clarke, Parliamentary Page, at [email protected] or contacting us at +1-345-949-4236. Once your class arrives at the main lobby, the Serjeant-at-Arms or Parliamentary Page will guide you around the public areas of the building, including the main Chamber of the House. Your teacher, or a member of your class, will be invited to sign the Visitor’s Book at the end of the visit.

Visiting During a Meeting:
If you visit while the House is in Session, you will be guided to the Public Gallery to view the actual proceedings of the House. Certain decorum is required when visiting the Gallery while the House is in Session:

  • As a mark of respect visitors bow to the Speaker upon silently entering and leaving the Public Gallery.
  • Visitors should remain seated at all times and ensure that silence is preserved.
  • Cameras, telephones, computers, food and drinks are not permitted in the Public Gallery.
  • Notes of the proceedings may not be taken except by registered press officers in the Press Gallery.
  • Additional rules can be found in the Speaker’s Rules
