
STUDENT INTERNSHIPS
Our paid Internship programme offers eligible students exposure to our Parliamentary process and the opportunity to explore the various career options available with the Parliament Management Commission.
Summer placements range from 1-4 months between 1 May and 30 September.
Christmas placements range from 1-2 months between 1 December and 31 January.
Students from areas such as Law, Finance, Communications, IT, as well as various other fields of study, are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Caymanian student.
- Have attained the minimum age of seventeen (17) years at the date of appointment.
- Be in one of the following academic statuses at the start of the internship:
- Waiting to commence a course of study;
- Currently studying/apprenticing;
- Recently concluded a course of study; or
- Have paused their academic studies for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months.
What You Will Need
To thrive in this internship, candidates should demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- High level of self-motivation and good organisational skills.
- A natural sense of curiosity and strong integrity.
- An energetic approach paired with the eagerness to tackle new projects and challenges.
- A proactive and dependable demeanour.

Christmas Application Period – 1 October to 30 November each year.
