Members of Parliament will gather on Tuesday, 14th November at 10:00 a.m for a Special Meeting of the House.

Section 8 (2) of the Parliament Standing Orders (2022 Consolidation) states that the Speaker may “summon a meeting of the House and shall do so on the written requisition signed by not less than seven Members, stating the terms of the motion or motions which they wish to debate.”

Such a written requisition was submitted to the Hon. Katherine Ebanks-Wilks, Speaker of Parliament, on 10th November in order to move and debate a motion brought by the Hon. Roy McTaggart, Leader of the Opposition, that was signed by nine Members of Parliament.
