Finance Committee:

The day’s proceedings begin with Finance Committee, wherein Members of Parliament review supplementary appropriations in accordance with the Parliament Standing Orders and the Public Management and Finance Act.

Finance Committee is a committee of the elected Members of the House, wherein Members of Parliament may ask questions of Ministers and their Chief Officers on the supplementary appropriations.

The Committee is Chaired by the Minister of Finance, Hon. Juliana O’Connor-Connolly, Premier.

The First Meeting of the 2024-2025 Session will conclude following Finance Committee.

In early 2025, a Supplementary Appropriations Bill for Section 12 requests for Parliamentary approval of Government spending will be presented to the Parliament.
