Youth Parliament Program 2025-2026

19th Youth Parliament

Youth Parliament is a programme in which young people aged 15-25 assume the role of Members of Parliament for a day, debating solutions to real issues that they themselves have created. In the process, Youth Parliamentarians learn about Parliament, the legislative process, and the administration of the Cayman Islands, all while building teamwork, confidence, writing and public speaking skills.

The 19th Youth Parliament began its weekly meetings on Tuesday, 30 September 2025. The participants will spend the next several months learning about Parliamentary procedures and developing a motion or bill of their choosing, for the live debate on Monday, 9th March 2026 at 10:00am, at the House of Parliament, and will televised on CIGTV and the Cayman Islands Government YouTube channel.
