Youth Parliament is a programme in which young people aged 15-25 assume the role of Members of Parliament for a day, debating solutions to real issues that they themselves have created. In the process, Youth Parliamentarians learn about Parliament, the legislative process, and the administration of the Cayman Islands, all while building teamwork, confidence, writing and public speaking skills.
The 17th Youth Parliament debate took place on Monday, 11th March 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the House of Parliament, and was televised on CIGTV and the Cayman Islands Government’s YouTube channel.
